PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. It is a therapy for hair loss. It includes three steps:

Step 1:

Your blood is drawn from the arm and placed in a centrifuge machine.

Step 2:

After 10 minutes in the centrifuge, your blood is separated into three different layers; namely

  • Red Blood Cells
  • Platelet Rich Plasma
  • Platelet Poor Plasma

Step 3:

The Platelet Rich Plasma is drawn and injected into the scalp.

The PRP’s usually done with or without usual anaesthesia. PRP helps the hair follicles attain the strength they need for growth. PRP also helps for the maintenance of the hair and to stop hair loss.
